The problem with AI memory
Every time you start a new conversation with a standard AI model, you're starting from zero. It doesn't remember what you told it yesterday, last week, or in any previous session. If you have a 50-page company handbook, a research paper you reference constantly, or a set of notes you've built up over months — you have to re-paste them every single time. That's not a workflow. That's a frustration.
This is the problem Neural Memory solves.
What Neural Memory actually does
Neural Memory uses vector storage — a technology that converts your documents into mathematical representations stored in a searchable database. When you ask AskSary a question, it automatically searches your memory store for relevant content and uses it to inform the response, without you having to re-upload or reference anything.
The result is an AI that behaves like a knowledgeable colleague who has actually read everything you've given it — and remembered it. Ask about your company's refund policy and it answers from your handbook. Ask for a summary of a research paper you uploaded six months ago and it retrieves it accurately.
Re-paste your document every session. Re-explain context constantly. Lose the thread between conversations.
Upload once. Reference forever. Ask questions about your documents in any future conversation with no re-uploading.
How to use it
Open AskSary and navigate to the Neural Memory section from the Command Centre (the + button). Upload your documents — PDFs, notes, text files — and the system indexes them automatically. From that point forward, the content is available in every conversation.
You can add to your memory store at any time, organise documents into folders, and search your stored content directly. The Smart Folders feature lets you keep your knowledge base tidy as it grows.
Best use cases
- Company knowledge base. Upload your handbook, policies, product specs and FAQs. Ask any question and get answers grounded in your actual documentation.
- Research library. Store papers, articles and reports you reference regularly. Ask synthesis questions across multiple documents.
- Personal notes. Upload meeting notes, journal entries, or study materials. Ask questions across everything you've captured.
- Client onboarding. Upload client briefs and background material. Every conversation with that client's AI context already loaded.
- Legal and compliance. Store contracts, regulatory documents and policies. Get answers that cite your actual agreements rather than general knowledge.
Tips for better results
💡 Quality in, quality out. Well-structured documents with clear headings and sections produce more accurate retrieval than poorly formatted text dumps. If your source material is messy, clean it up before uploading.
- Be specific in your questions. "What does section 4 of the Q3 report say about customer churn?" retrieves more accurately than "tell me about churn."
- Use folders to organise by project. Grouping related documents helps the system prioritise the right context for each query.
- Update documents when they change. If a policy is revised, upload the new version. The memory store reflects your most recently uploaded content.
